Everstream, a super-regional network service provider bringing fiber-based Ethernet, internet and data center solutions to businesses throughout the Midwest, announced today that the company plans to create 90 new full-time positions in Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio, with assistance provided by an Ohio Job Creation Tax Credit.
“Since its founding, Everstream has been committed to growing and investing within Northeast Ohio, from job creation to growing our network and fiber footprint. These tax credits are a key opportunity for Everstream to continue to build our team in Northeast Ohio and welcome our first team members in the Columbus region,” said Brett Lindsey, president and chief executive officer, Everstream.
With corporate headquarters in downtown Cleveland, Everstream has long been committed to investing in the state.
Notably, Everstream is actively recruiting for newly created positions, including engineering, inside and outside plant, network operations, field services, and sales, in both the Cleveland and Columbus regions. Visit everstream.net/careers for details.
The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved two projects for Everstream:
• Northeast Ohio: Everstream plans to create 50 new, full-time positions, generating $3.75 million in new annual payroll, and will retain more than $4.4 million in existing payroll for 55 full-time positions.
• Central Ohio: Everstream plans to create 40 new, full-time positions, generating $3 million in new annual payroll. Columbus will be a new market for Everstream.
“Everstream’s decision to expand in Cleveland and launch new operations in the Columbus Region demonstrates their confidence in Ohio to grow its network and fiber footprint,” said Ted Griffith, JobsOhio managing director for information technology. “Along with our regional and local partners, we are excited 90 more Ohioans will play an essential role serving Everstream’s increasing customer base throughout the Midwest.”
The Ohio Tax Credit Authority reviews applications for tax credit assistance for projects that can bring jobs and investment to Ohio. JobsOhio recommended the tax credit to the TCA.
Throughout this process, Everstream worked closely with Enterprise Advisory Group, JobsOhio, Greater Cleveland Partnership, TeamNEO, Columbus 2020, and the cities of Cleveland and Columbus.
